STEP 1) THE SCRIPT

Everything starts with the script. Do you have a script you’re excited to shoot? It should be under two pages and properly formatted. If so, please submit it via email for approval.

Don’t have a script? We work with professional writers who can craft a custom scene tailored to you for a $75 fee. Contact us for details.

STEP 2) CASTING
You’ll need an actor to play opposite you. On a budget? Find somebody who can share the cost?  We strongly recommend casting a high-level scene partner - working opposite a strong actor elevates your performance and the final result.
 
STEP 3) REHEARSALS

We are professionals, and we expect the same from our actors. All performers should rehearse thoroughly with their scene partner and an acting coach prior to the shoot.

If you don’t have a coach, we offer rehearsal services at $50 per hour.

STEP 4) OUR LOCATION OR YOURS

Have a location in mind? Great! If not, Best Shot Reels shoots throughout the Los Angeles area and has access to a variety of pre-selected outdoor locations.​ We also offer a private home location in Chatsworth (approximately 35 minutes from Hollywood), featuring a kitchen, living room, dining area, bedroom, and yard.

 

Need something more specific - such as a hospital, courtroom, or police station? No problem. We have access to standing sets. Contact us for details.

STEP 5)  LIGHTS, CAMERA'S ACTION

Best Shot Reels works with a streamlined professional crew tailored to the needs of your scene. A standard two-page scene typically shoots in 3–4 hours. We arrive with the crew and equipment - you arrive rehearsed and ready to perform.

STEP 6)  POST PRODUCTION: EDITING
Your scene will be edited in a state-of-the-art 4K editing suite and includes:

• Professional editing

• Sound design and mix

• Music

• Color correction in DaVinci Resolve

Visual effects and compositing are available at an additional cost.

Final delivery is typically 8–10 days after the shoot.
